ABOUT THE POSITION: ** Assistant Manager – ideal position for someone fresh and new to management or a seasoned veteran who wants to join a well-oiled team and machine. Salary is very dependent on Experience and qualifications! ** This position acts as Restaurant manager on the shifts not covered by the General Manager – Responsibilities are to the specific shifts and not necessarily to overall operations. ** The Assistant Manager has lead supervision responsibilities for the Front Desk Staff, Server Assistant’s and Food Runners & Expeditors along with responsibility of scheduling and developing training plans for all front of house personnel. ** Assistant Manager has some responsibility with liquor, beer and wine inventory, ordering and cost controls. ** Assistant Manager has responsibility in maintaining the appearance of the restaurant and grounds, is decorated for the seasonal periods, and necessary maintenance is facilitated. ** Assistant Manager assists the GM with marketing of special events, in house promotions and seasonal menu periods. ** Assistant Manager provides leadership for all employees and is proactive with Guest Service. ** Assistant Manager acts a lead person for Private Dining program which has seen a dramatic increase in business and dollars over the course of the past year.You will be out front and in the spotlight with this aspect of our business. ABOUT YOU: ** 3-5 Years of progressive experience in and upscale or fine dining establishment is very desirable to us ** Proven ability to supervise and/or manage employees on a day to day basis ** Proven ability to manage beverage personnel, inventory, ordering and cost controls ** Proven ability to manage financial aspects of positions, closing reports, cash counting and auditing ** Proven track record with training and development programs for front of house personnel ** A sense of humor, an excellent work ethic, a desire to learn and grow with the position, reliable transportation, availability to work 8 days a week, whoops…..we went a little to far there didn’t we.
