As an IT Manager, you will perform a wide variety of tasks as necessary. For example, you may perform the following tasks:
Sytstem Management Including:
Desktop-Hardware and Software Support (Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, etc.) Server Administration (Windows Server 2003/2008, Virtualization Tehcnologies, Application Management, Setup, System Upgrades, Backups New User Provisioning Software Updates, Patch Management Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Unified Communications - Exchange 2007 Administration (Unified Messaging)
- Implementation of Office Communications Server (VOIP, Call Handling,Instant Messaging and Presence,Web\Audio\Video Conferencing)
- Voice Communication Management
Networking (Setup and Configuration) - Management of our Internet Service Provider
- VPN
- Firewall
- Routers
- Conference Room upkeep (projector, wireless Internet, VC, phone system)
Other duties including, but not limited to: - Ownership and Management of US Helpdesk
- Communicate with the end users when the services are down, under maintenance and probable timing of startup
- Work closely with Functional Leads to understand the immediate requirements of hardware and software
- Work with HR to have the tools ready for new employees and to terminate the services of resigned employees
- Put the resource requirement plan based on the workload requirements as discussed with the Functional Leads
- Follow the agreed company / IT policies for procurement of new equipment, Service Lease Agreements
- Develop procedures to facilitate easy use of Tools, example - Communication Tools, Email backups, Office products (Basic Setup, Backups, Updates) etc.
What are the Requirements for this Position?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology required
- 7+ years of progressive responsibility in an IT related field
- Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003\2008
- Experience with Microsoft Applications including Exchange 2003\2007, Project Server 2003\2007, Office Sharepoint Server, etc
- Experience with networking technologies such as DNS\DHCP, Wireless, etc
- Experience with PBX or VOIP technologies a plus
- Self-Starter and self-motivated with the ability to manage and maintain IT as a strategic business asset with minimal supervision
